What it's for
A luggage tag you can spot on the carousel from across the room, with a name on it that says whose bag it is. Good for holiday travel, a new suitcase, a backpack or a gift tag that gets kept.
The default is 90 x 55 mm, about the size of a store tag. The name shrinks to fit, so long names stay on one line. The second line is optional: a family name, a city, an email or a phone number. Keep anything you wouldn't want strangers to read off your bag for the back of a paper card instead.
The tag is 2.4 mm of solid PLA with letters 1.2 mm proud, stiff enough to ride on a checked bag. The 14 x 5 mm slot takes a leather or webbing strap, a zip tie or a steel loop (not included). PLA softens around 55-60 °C, so don't leave it on a bag in a parked car in summer sun.

Questions
Is a strap included?
No, just the printed tag. Any strap, cord or zip tie up to 13 mm wide and 4 mm thick fits the slot. A steel cable loop is the most secure for checked bags.
Will it survive a checked bag?
It is 2.4 mm of solid PLA with rounded corners, so it handles normal baggage handling. Like any rigid tag it can crack if a bag is crushed edge-on; a strap through the slot keeps it from snagging.
Can the letters be a different color?
Yes. Pick the multicolor option on the quote page and add a note like "letters white, tag blue". The color changes at the layer where the letters start.
Can I order tags for the whole family?
Each name is its own part. Order them one after another, or email the names to orders@mandarin3d.com and we put them in one order.
