What it's for
A bookmark with a name on it, for a reader, a teacher, a book club or a stocking. The name runs along the length in raised letters and shrinks to fit, so long names stay on one line.
The default is 150 x 36 mm, about the size of a store bookmark. For paperbacks, 120-140 mm stays inside the pages; for hardcovers and planners, go up to 180 mm.
The strip is 1.6 mm of solid PLA with letters 1.2 mm proud, so it is stiff and won't curl. It is thicker than paper, so it leaves a slight gap in a closed book. The 5 mm hole takes a tassel, ribbon or cord (not included).

Questions
Will it damage the book?
No, the corners are rounded and the back is flat. At 2.8 mm thick it leaves a small gap in a closed book, so it suits reading copies more than rare editions.
Is a tassel included?
No, just the printed bookmark. Any tassel, ribbon or cord up to 4 mm thick fits the 5 mm hole.
Can the letters be a different color?
Yes. Pick the multicolor option on the quote page and add a note like "letters white, bookmark red". The color changes at the layer where the letters start.
Can I order a set with different names?
Each name is its own part. Order them one after another, or email the names to orders@mandarin3d.com and we put them in one order.
