What it's for
Hangs headphones off the edge of the desk without screws, tape or holes. The clamp is made to your desk thickness and closes 1.2 mm tighter at the tips, so it grips the edge and stays put.
Measure the desktop at the edge where it will go: 25 mm (1 in) is common, glass and thin tops are often 12-19 mm. The hook hangs 22 mm below the desk and reaches out 30-70 mm; 45 mm fits most over-ear headsets.
Also good for a bag, a controller or a lanyard. It is for light things; don't hang a backpack full of books from it.

Questions
How do I measure my desk?
Measure the thickness of the top at the edge with a ruler or calipers. Enter the exact number; the clamp is made slightly tighter so it grips.
Will it scratch the desk?
PLA is smooth and won't scratch most finishes. On a delicate finish, put a strip of felt or tape inside the clamp.
What if my desk has a lip or a rounded edge?
The clamp needs a flat top and bottom about 40 mm deep. For a curved or beveled edge, use the under-desk hook, which screws on.
